I just bought a handmade wood inlay cutting board right at pack up at the end of a show. In thinking about my own pack up (in the rain), I forgot to ask the woodworker what oil should be used on it. It’s a cheese board, with an integral slicing wire. So it will not get terribly dirty, but the wood does look a bit dry.

Thanks!

  • Mineral oil is most often recommended.  Do not use cooking oils.

    • Thanks! I figured cooking oils would become rancid.
