Thought that I had fixed my booth shot problem.
Apparently, not.
I would like kind, gentle criticisms. Don't need too many negatives....get enough of those from all my show rejections.
I don't have a budget to replace everything......I cannot transport GLASS.
Thanks.

Thanks, will do in the next couple of days. I have two back-to-back shows this and next weekend.
Maybe there is nothing wrong with your photos! Maybe they had filled all the spaces allotted for jewelry…just a thought!
The bottom line is that even with the best jury images and booth slide, if the jury doesn't like your work, they will mark you down or reject you in the first round. You may be competing with 200 other artists in your medium. If the slides are being viewed first-in, first-viewed order, and you got your app in later, they may be experiencing fatigue by the time they get to your slides. Jewelers and photographers have the most competition in many shows.
I have the same problem -- last year I was rejected by EVERY show I applied to in Texas. Except Main St. Fort Worth, which is generally regarded as the best show in Texas, and one of the top shows in the country. This year? Nope.
A crap shoot for sure. Art shows are one of the few businesses that rely heavily on gambling as a business model.
I hear you, Jim! It is quite frustrating.
What about your individual piece images? Are they strong enough or might that be the reason for the rejections?

Who knows???????????
Larry did my photos too. And I am still having problems getting into shows. Even the best photographers can't guarantee we get into the shows. It's still a crapshoot with those bloody jurors!! :-)
I am not sure. I cannot get feedback from the Zapp juries, so I am at a loss at this time.......
Getting feedback from jurors will help, but usually there are different jurors for each show. It's best to have top quality jury images.
I do free jury image evaluations:

How would I upload the tiff files to you?
