The best/biggest show for this weekend is unarguably the La Quinta Arts Festival in CA. Learn why this is such a good one: http://www.kesq.com/news/behind-the-scenes-at-the-la-quinta-arts-festival/38296840

I am hoping to be in Tampa this weekend for the Gasparilla Festival of Arts -- at least I am on the road there today: http://www.tampabay.com/things-to-do/visualarts/art-planner-gasparilla-arts-festival-new-cuban-art-and-trashy-treasures/2267599

  • I am doing a show at Shadows on the Teche tomorrow.  It is a one day show.  We are all packed up.  We'll have to head out early, before daylight and get back after dark.  This is a small show compared to a lot of them out there, only about 100 booths.  They report they are opening up a few more booths this year.  I don't even know where they are going.  By the time we set up at a show (when it's on the day of the show) I don't have time to walk around.  It is like I am in my own little world and have no idea what's out there.  Unfortunately.  I would love to be able to look around but if I have that kind of time it means things are slow.

  • Carol and I are doing the Baton Rouge Arts Market this Saturday.

  • Booth sitting at Rust Belt Artist Market in Ferndale, MI.  It's pretty quiet there this time of year but hopefully if the weather is as nice as it's reported to be, we might get a little more traffic...I certainly hope so.  I enjoy being there, regardless, but a few sales would definitely be a bonus and make my time there worthwhile.

  • Oh, I see I jumped the gun when I started this discussion earlier today.
