I'll may insult someone (or many) by even using the words "Folk Art" on this site but, I have to ask.

Does this site, or any of the others similar to this, include larger/better Folk Art shows in their listings?  The reason I ask is because I have an opportunity to participate in one called  The
Country Folk Art Fest in St. Charles, IL in Sept. and I'm having trouble finding anything on it.  I've heard of it and they seem to do some high-dollar advertising.  I've seen past artists list and some of the names I recognize.  I've talked to the producers and they seem professional and very nice.

However, when it comes to ranking, ratings, comments from artists, etc., I can't find a thing.  I've wondered if it's because I'm looking in the wrong places - for instance the sites mentioned above who may not look at Folk Art.  Or, the show is so small it doesn't warrant a mention by anyone.  But, I haven't seen any other Folk Art Events mentioned either.

A trip from Texas to Illinois would cost me a fortune in dollars and time.  I sure would like to know a bit more about the show before I commit myself.  And, I have to believe that, mixed in among the many people who love and depent upon this site (and others), there has to be a few 'closet' Folk Artists!
