I am applying to a show that calls for a weird size format (not using any of the usual jurying systems, but wants images sent via email or on a CD). 2700 x 1800 pixels (9” x 6”), jpgs. To be sent by email or on a disc by mail. Emailing them would be what I’d prefer.
Normally I just send my Zapp files to shows not doing online jurying. I can go to my TIFF originals on my computer and resize them in Elements, but wonder what might be a practical file size to shoot for. If I tried 1.8 kb like Zapp asks for, will these large images then not be sharp?
With them wanting them this large, I could see not being able to get all 4 on one email.
I know how to do what ZAPP asks for very well. But not so much, with weird requirements.
They also want a work in progress shot, which I did not see til I was ready to send this and saw all this weird stuff. My studio is all torn up with some basement repair work. I just want to get this done, not create hours of work shifting everything around. I’d use an existing work in progress shot, which I made for teaching, but I can’t find the digital files. I have prints, though. How would it be if I scanned a print at the highest resolution I can set on my scanner? I have a good scanner. Or would that be hopelessly fuzzy when sized to 2700 x 1800 pixels ?
Thanks

This is an example of image requirements from someone who doesn't understand image sizing. They are falsely assuming all artwork fits a 6x9 proportion. Best you can do is make them 2700 long dimension, sRGB color space and save at a maximum quality JPEG.

Thanks. They actually said, "2700 x 1800 pixels (9” x 6”) is a common size our applicants supply."
I would think ZAPP size would be what most applicants supply. ;)
