  • I've always had good luck with Enterprise but one tip if you rent from a company that also rents cars.  Be sure and stress the word "cargo" when you make the arrangements.  One time they had a nice mini-van waiting for me and I had to scramble to get a cargo van.
  • Enterprise will usually give you 150 miles a day with the cost of the rental. So if you only need it for a weekend and will go less than 150 miles a day, it's a pretty good deal.

My Expedition gets 20 mpg on the highway.

  • We are doing a two weekend swing, American Artisan last weekend, Francisco's Farm this weekend, so we thought we would give rental a try. We got a full size cargo van from Enterprise for $ six hundred ninety nine for thirty days with no mileage charge. It gets almost double the fuel mileage of my Expedition.
  • Watch the mileage rate.  Some vans look very cheap until you realize you are paying through the nose for mileage.
