I am doing more and more shows and find that the florida/ south market is overly saturated in some areas. There are so many shows within a few miles on nearly every weekend of the "season" I only see the same buyers and the same sellers over and over.... The number one question I get in my booth is "will you be at (the next) show?" Yeah, it may be just a new " be back" comment but it gives me pause and makes me look for new and unique shows. I found a small company called TNT events.. Their web site is not good but they seem to do a lot of shows. Does anyone have any experience with them? Does anyone have any suggestions for shows in the south market? Florida in the winter and the Carolinas and Georgia for the summer? Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!

  • I'll also be at the Hilton Head show. WOOHOO!

  • There was a really good report on a new show this past fall in Jacksonville, FL, Beaches. Look it up on ArtShowReviews.com and on this site. Have you looked at our site callsforartists.com? It has a bunch of under the radar events that may be of interest to you.

    • THANKS!

  • How about Mandarin Art Festival in Jacksonville? Show is Easter weekend, April 4-5, 2015, in an upscale community along the St. Johns River. Mandarin Community Club grounds. I'll be there.

    • I am going to apply!! (don't you love the "old way" of applying!?)  Guess it fits with my "vintage" technique! Thanks for the heads up and hope to see you there!

    • Thank you!

  • I don't have any suggestions for winter or summer since my touring schedule is spring and fall. I like being home working in the studio during winter and summer. Have you considered Hilton Head in April for Art Market at Historic Honey Horn? Also Bluffton Seafood Festival in October (I've never done it, but plenty artists on AFI do it.) I never go below Orlando or Tampa any more, but central and panhandle Florida is good for me. Some artists still like Bonita and Artigras, but I've never done them.

Push yourself to do something more with your subject matter. You might still see the same sellers, but you'll most likely see different buyers.
