Just bought a new display system and I am a little nervous about setting up after 8:00 PM. I do like that I can pull right up in front of the booth and drop everything off, at least where I am.
It's a very nice & very well-attended show especially if you don't have to hotel it ~ (Hotels on the East Coast of MI. are ridiculous!!) you will be pleased with the amount of customers actually going not only see the beautiful Tulips, but to shop-many had bags. We did well. There were many tourists from all over to see the Tulips as well as buying Art. It was well organized & very well-established. We did it "about" 5 yrs. ago.
I'll be there. It will be my first time and I'm not sure what to expect. Looks like set up could be difficult. You have any experience there? And, yes, looks like highs in the upper 50s (which is a lot better than it has been in Michigan).
It was strictly a cash-and-carry crowd. I'll do a show review later but I was surprised that the show was so much craft and so little art. I barely covered expenses, to be honest. Of the three tents around me, two said they wouldn't bother applying next year. Including me that's 3 out of 4 which says something about expectations vs reality. It was a huge crowd, but they were balking at $20 bagged prints. Now, if I had the Kettle Korn or Elephant Ears booth, I'd be very happy today.

Hi Jill.

Hope you did well. Lots of people but not many serious art buyers. Weather was a dream.

Looks like 65 and sunny on Saturday. Tulips are blooming!
