Last week in the middle of all the activity of the Pledge Drive I had to upgrade my Mac (in order to download the Quickbooks 2013 -- another story). I downloaded Mountain Lion and now my email is goofy. Emails come in but outgoing mail is not recognizing the server. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

Try this in your email go to account settings, select the email address then select Change. In the option for outgoing mail servers (SMTP) type in cwmx.com save and test the email address.
This is what I had to do to use my email account from homestead within Outlook. I have four emails from homestead setup this way and only have an issue if the cwmx.com site goes down, thankfully that has only happened once in about eight years.
Hope this helps.
Connie, this looks like a job for Jim Parker. I can't help you. However, I can help Alison. Go into your Outlook account. Click on the cog on the far right. Then click more options in the drop down box. Why MS makes it hard to get to your real options is a mystery to me. Anyway, the second option reads "Your email accounts". You should see all your email accounts. Your Outlook account should have a comment after it that says "send and receive." I suspect that Outlook still sees your Hotmail account as your primary account and Outlook is receive only. I think you only need to change the bottom setting to your Outlook account should be the "Default from address." If that doesn't work, look for a setting that lets you change your Outlook account to send and receive.
If it is any consolation I have a PC and the second Hotmail upgraded to Outlook I was unable to send emails from Outlook on my computer. I switched to gmail but have the same issue. So now I have to go to gmail to send mail. Frustrating.
