I just received an email from square, don't have time to check it our right now, but I believe it says that they have opened an online "Square Market" where you can set up a page and sell anything with no extra charges, just the 2.75 % ?? Need to check out the details, e.g. what about signatures? If this is true, it will be really good and cheaper than the rest of the online markets.

I put a few items up on it this morning. Really simple interface. A few issues, like shipping is only per item and you can't reduce costs for add'l items. It looks like only one photo per item, and unless you direct traffic there, there isn't much of a search or categorization (yet)
If you already use square for shows, it's not a bad way to make online transactions. It'll be interesting to see how it develops.
Thanks for the update Valerie.
Etsy is a great venue because the fees are low and they actually have significant traffic. The Square page sill be a good deal only if someone shows up to buy.
Check out Mal's ECommerce. If you already have a website you can set up for people to order directly through your website to pay pal and I believe they take 2.67%.
Thanks for this! I'm switching over to them...
Well, I emailed the Square people to check to make sure what I read was correct and they confirmed it. They will charge 2.75% of the total of an online sale which includes sales tax (where applicable) & shipping charges with no signature required for sales made through the new "Square Market". You set up a page on their market place and input any items that you want to sell. I will be trying that in the near future to see how it works. Recently I sold a couple of pieces through ebay, for a $150 sale, between ebay & paypal I was charged $15, which seemed more like 10% to me. I am still considering setting up something on Etsy also, but have not had time to research it.
thanks, I will check into it, have a great summer !
I don't think I pay much more for that with Paypal....
