The Best Thing About AFI is....

OK!! I'll start this.

 

The best thing about Art Fair Insiders is... meeting all the people on this web site that are members.  On this Florida trip I can't tell you how many people have come up to me and introduced themselves.

 

Now, to all you lurkers I have just one thing to say: Start posting.

    I have often tried to explain to my friends/sister who is a corporate person...That we Artist's don't have daily or weekly meetings to discuss our work life. I have a group of Artist's friends...but the info here has been much more diverse and in many cases SCARY! I feel much more connected to my peers here and that this is our "meeting" . And if I want the real "dirt" on a show...THIS is the place I look. Although...I must say I feel a bit "watched" by directors so I'm biting my lip quite often when I know and/or have experienced otherwise...if you get my drift.....
    I must say though...I've kept my eye open for ya! I will be in Naples Downtown at the end of the month.

    As a newbie I would say the wealth of information has been priceless, I get 1st hand information about show from fellow and experienced artist that have done it themselves not some general information that can sometimes be misleading. And also just the thought that I am around people that share similar interest can be encouraging. I saw this site sometime ago and lost it, when i found it again I felt the same way as i do now when I get into a good art show. Keep up the good works and God bless.

    For someone like me that is new to the biz, the best thing about AFI is... the education!  I have learned more on this website after a month than I have after a year of doing shows.  Thanks to all of the seasoned artists!
