Hi!  I'm in the process of reviewing indoor art shows.  I do contemporary oil paintings as well as abstract encaustic and cold wax.  What would you suggest?  Thanks so very much in advance for your advice!!

  • I heard ONE OF A KIND show is good if you have the right stuff for them. It is expensive to get in but I know couple artists that do really well. It is in Chicago, at the merchandise mart and I think there's other in NY.

    There's a great expo in NY also that I keep hearing good things about them. You can buy your space there, it is pricey but sounds like a good deal for contemporary, abstracts and encaustics.

    Check them on Facebook;

    Hope this helps :)

    • Thanks so much.  That does look like a good show.  I think it's a wholesale show though... I'll ponder.  Thanks again!
      • One of a Kind in Chicago is definitely not wholesale.

        Amdur Productions has a new show in December in Highland Park, IL that was originally going to be outside in a big tent but has since moved to a country club so it is now an indoor show.  Don't know if there are still openings but it may be worth a look.

        • Awesome!  Thanks Geri!
  • Most of the indoor shows are more craft oriented. Look at Richard Rothbard's shows or Art Expo.

    Richard keeps the quality high for his indoor shows:
