Hi, just wanted to give you all an update. Yesterday, we headed out to pick up the material to build our first "quasi - pro panel" from plans we bought on ebay. My husband was all in (although we were both worried about how much of a task it was going to be and how they would turn out). We decided to try Lowes this time instead of Home Depot and when we walked in the door at the garden end of the building, there was a beautiful privacy screen set up... choices of black or brown wrought iron with an all weather fabric inside each of the 3 panels, the screen is made up of 3 panels each 24" wide for a total frame of 72" and 72" high. We debated and measured and re-measured and decided these were very close to perfect. If I decide to hang something I will have to suspend it from a hanger as the panels even though they are woven will not support any weight. This is fine. I have ordered 2 sets of 3 folding pedestals and I have a bamboo looking screen that was only $20 from HD that is 6' tall and 16' long. While at Lowes I also picked up an indoor/outdoor carpet to complete the display. As the panels are flexible I will be able to stagger them or place them straight along the tent wall. With the addition of a couple of sheers to cover the corner poles or whatever, I think I will be all set, adding of course some sort of shelving and possibly some sort of valance if they are too short or I buy a taller tent. I wanted to let everyone know about these privacy screens as they are finished and look really nice (a little heavier than the pro panels) but we don't have to build them plus they are half the price of pro panels, for a total of $600 for the 10x10. We bought 6 sets, figuring we need a little space for a checkout counter and to hide some "stuff".
I will take a picture with my booth set up in the next week or two so that you can see it. Thanks to everyone who helped me with great ideas for getting started again.... big job for a potter! Have a great safe 4th everyone, Jackie
