I'm doing a art fairs that require tents for the first time, and I'm a smallish middle aged woman who'll be setting up alone, so I'm wondering what types of tent would be manageable for me to put up without help. I've heard the EZ up tents are frowned upon as not sturdy enough for outdoor shows in places that get windy/rainy weather. Not sure what qualifies as a "professional grade" tent. I hear the flourish tents are difficult to put up alone. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

  • Welcome to the art fair life! I too am single and have been doing fine art shows for more than 8 years. I began with a Trimline tent but after my divorce, sold it due to storage limitations and the difficulty of setting it up alone. I rented for awile but have now puchased (after much research) an Extreme Canopy X7, which I highly recommend. It is one of the few 'accordian/popup' styles art fairs will allow. It's good-looking and sturdy - but as with all tents, proper weights are important. If you want to protect your art, Extreme Canopy is an excellent choice.
