Hey All,

Am I the only one on the planet who is feeling the 'icky' vibes from the Telfair folks? This is the first year that we've been juried in and I'm finding their whole booth layout/payment structure/first come first serve philosophy kinda creepy. Wish they had told me about all the changes they were implementing before I applied. I'm really willing to have my mind changed. What do other folks think about it?......

  • I'm in Savannah and am extremely curious about the new layout/pricing/etc.  Past years everyone was under a big tent and the Telfair processed all sales.  It's sort of exciting to now be able to process your own sales.  I'm a little concerned about security though.

I will be doing a show in FL that weekend, so I won't get to see the show, but am very interested in learning about how everything works out.

  • I actually walked the layout yesterday when I was in Savannah with some friends because I was curious.  Although not a part of the friday night preview party because of where they are located, I see the $350 booths as drawing the most amount of foot traffic on Saturday and Sunday because it's right off of the main drag (Broughton) and it will pull in the folks coming and going.  Any booth on the square itself is going to get good foot traffic and it's contained enough that I think that most, if not all will walk the entire show.

Re: the pricing structure?  it is what it is.  for me, there were too many choices but I chose what I could afford and after seeing the actual venue, I feel good about my decision...

I am waiting to hear back about whether electricity will be available or not.  Since the show runs until 8pm on Friday and Saturday, and it's November, lights will be needed...plus with the tree lined streets, I need lots of light... After seeing the space, it will be interesting to see how they organize load in/load out but we'll find out...
