Hello all!! My name is Jennifer Boes and I'm a newbie. Thank you for sharing all your vast knowledge about this crazy career we all have gotten ourselves into. I'm an acrylic painter who, after many years ignoring my passion, has decided I can't ignore it any longer and am hoping to get out there and show at fairs. Thanks again for letting me join in!

Thanks Pat and Jenelle (fellow newbie :) ) Started with oils in college but was intimidated by it. So I tried painting seriously with acrylics about a year ago. I guess after complaining about my day job for 20 years, I decided I needed to shut up and do what I want! HA! I first "dabbled" in shows by selling hand drawn jewelry about 3 years ago. I really enjoyed most of the experience so I thought I'd try selling my art instead. My first outdoor "show" is in a few weeks and I'll use that as an opportunity to get a decent booth set up and then I'll finally have photos to apply to the larger shows in the area.
Jennifer, It sounds like you have the passion to succeed. Wishing you the best of sales at your first outdoor show coming up. Maybe you could write a review after the show and let us all know how it went?
Welcome aboard Jennifer. Glad to have you here. How long have you been painting and what made you decide to try doing art shows?
