Hello,
I am going to start doing a local market here in town. I can only use an 8x8 canopy for space restrictions. I have 7' Pro Panels and want to make sure I have enough height clearance. I called on a Premier canopy and the guy told me at the midway point of the sides there is a frame section that goes down to 6'4" so this won`t work. My Pro Panels are 6@ 38" wide and 4@ 24" wide. Of course I can use 2 x 38" (76" total) panels but will have about 10" left over on each side out of the total 96" available which is not ideal.
Any suggestions out there from experience would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shaun

What do the other participants in the market use?
Hi Greg,
Yes, that is what I need to do. I couldn`t get down there yesterday and will have to wait until next Saturday. I was trying to maybe find a solution to get a canopy ordered to save time.

Portland or Eugene? I assume it's one of those.
I am in Eugene Pat.
The issue of the tent height is a tough one. One possibility is to add some pipe leg extensions and a foot pad, or just note the bullet and take the tent to a welder and have matching square stock welded onto the ends with new pads. If you're really lucky, you could find some sleeving or nesting square stock to splice into the legs. Another alternative is to not use the Propanels, and use either Gridwall panels or 16 inch wire closet shelving set on end and zip
tied together. It's a higher cost of course but the dimensions work out neatly. The whole thing sounds like a pain in the butt.
Hi Robert,
Thank you for the ideas. I kind on half though of angling the 24" panels in the corner but wasn`t quite sure if that would work? I`m sure I can sketch it out to see for sure. It is a good idea though and it might be a solution. I think I need to revisit the show and see if anyone is using the 7' panels and what they did. Your ideas are great though and thanks again.

I am not sure at this point. From past experience which isn`t a huge amount, I tended to stay outside for the most part. It seems people are more likely to go inside, at least from what I could gather. Then again, many are inside their booths at this market. I need to assess the amount of space and see if it is allowable. On hot days I will probably want to be shaded. I really need to make one more visit it seems and take notes on things.
Thanks again,
Shaun
