Hi guys,
I've been using Square for years on the art show circuit. No issues. But suddenly they canceled my account - without giving me any reason - and won't release any money for 90 days! They have been the most unfriendly customer support I've ever dealt with.
What are the alternatives? I've been looking at Stripe but have no history there.
Thoughts?

I used Intuit's Go payment until 2 years ago when they wanted to charge me for PCI compliance. I could never get the swipe to work and always had input the data by hand, which meant I was charged a higher rate. I figured it was time for a change so I went to my bank, Bank of America, and they had a reader for $100 that works through their app. And they included the PCI compliance at no charge. Their customer service is always available and although I initially had trouble with an Android phone, it has worked seamlessly ever since.
We switched to sum up, which functions much like square , and has been apolitical, and the fees are the same. Www.SumUp.com
we like the Bluetooth reader and have been happy with the reports, and payout. We found that payout is 2 days post event, unlike square at 1 day. The app on cell phone or tablet is easy to download, and provides ability to create a catalog.
Thank you!
I've used PayPal, they have a swiper, and Groupon. Still think Square has the best overall system. Sorry they have been difficult to work with for you. I also use Venmo.
Thank you!
I would highly suggest Intuit's "GoPayment". I've been using them for many years and have never been disappointed. I always get my funds within 12 to 30 hours.
Thank you!
