Wanted some opinions about using a photo with multiple pieces...this is one of the better shots of my work but I have a feeling that it might be hurting us in the jurying process. Thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback Larry. I have used it for most of our applications but it is the only grouping that I do use. I have never asked permission and understand what you mean about feedback from the organizations...I have not had much luck with this to date. Makes sense what you say about a grouping that goes together/would be used together. I am hoping to re-do my pics in January as well as having some new work to show. Happy Holidays!!
I've moved your thread to the jury question forum.
It's an interesting shot and might possibly be an image that the jurors will remember. Also it's a little bright with two similar style pieces at the top with the rest being different. That may hurt you in a projection jury.
When asked, I usually suggest that the multiple pieces in a single image be a group that looks like it can sell together. That makes more sense in a group image. And if you have more than one group shot only use one in a set of jury images per application.
What I'm suggesting also depends on the shows you're applying to. Some shows it won't matter if you submit all groupings and some may object to even one grouping. And asking before submitting may not lead to getting an accurate answer because they may say not but not say anything if you do it without asking. Have you heard the saying that it's better to ask for forgiveness then permission?
