I finally got around to uploading a news clip from the 2002 Shadyside show to Youtube. It shows why the sleazy ex director lost the Walnut Street (original location) show, and then was also thrown out of the Ellsworth Avenue satellite show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZaHqp9zFqo Larry Berman Digital Jury Services http://BermanGraphics.com 412-401-8100

  • Howard Alan is running a show in Shadyside, do you know anything about his?
    • Of course. I'm responsible for getting the old director thrown out and bringing Howard in. What do you want to know?

      • I basically just wanted to be assured that the Howard Allen show would not be a repeat of the video you posted. I have never done the Shadyside show, but have been interested in applying. It is a quite a drive for me, so I didn't want to go and end up in an empty field!
        • The show is right on Walnut street which is the main shopping area covering about 3 - 4 blocks, I think. Not huge by any means. It draws a good crowd but I don't know sales figures. I don't know how many people are there to purchase at the art festival and how many are there to shop on Walnut street or to just eat at area restaurants. It is a fairly upscale area of Pittsburgh - not downtown as the 3 Rivers Art Festival is but within in the city limits. In general, Walnut Street is a shopping destination - It used to be locally owned specialty shops but now mostly upscale chains - (Chico's, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Talbots)
        • It's been there thirteen years and had it's ups and downs but it's always had good traffic if that's what you're asking about.
