About 90 minutes from Chicago, in the heart of Harbor Country of Southwest Michigan, a local artist is selling her secluded home and art studio in coveted Camp Madron. Common areas include use of the "Great Lodge" for hosting large events.
"Camp Madron is a residential development located on the site of a former boy scout camp. There are 49 half-acre lots, with most of the 260 acres as common area. All the lots have sold and most have houses on them. We have a full-time caretaker for the Camp. There is a 60 acre lake, Madron Lake, with a beach. We have a lodge, an orchard, a baseball diamond, and tennis courts. Most of the houses are used as vacation homes, but there are some permanent residents."
