Does anyone have any information on applying for the Round the Fountain show in Lafayette, Indiana? I've heard good things about it, but can't seem to track down how one actually applies. Also, how open is it - is it grandfathered?

Hi - I've no idea about how many applicants are new versus grandfathered in - but last year applications opened on Jan first and closed on March 8th -- http://www.roundthefountain.org/2010_entry.htm They are also on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/roundthefountain?v=info#!/roundthefountain
Good luck!
Unlike Leo, I've applied for maybe 15 years, and have never gotten in. It has been my understanding, by word of mouth, that it's heavily grandfathered. It might depend more on your medium, as to what your chances are, and I don't know what Leo's is. When I read the names of artists accepted, I see the same names over and over, years after year.
sounds like laumier.
The Show's Web site is: http://www.roundthefountain.org/ Last year the call for applications went out around the 1st of the year.
The show uses a homegrown system. You send an email with 5 images and a booth shot attached (images are small 400 pixels). You then pay an application fee via paypal. I wrote a review back in May and maybe that will help you.
I've only done the show for two years, and I got in on my first try. A lot of the artists participating have been doing the show for sometime. The area of Lafayette has been hit hard by the economy and my understanding is that sales and attendance are not what it was a few years ago. Cheers, LC
