I'm looking for help resizing images. The Zapplication for the Mich. Krasl Fair requires a 1290 x 1290 pix exact. My image resizers won't do exact resizes. Any help? thanks.

Anyone can upload their images and have them formatted for ZAPP for free at my http://JuryImages.com web site.
But consider that if you're having trouble formatting images for ZAPP or JAS, you probably need help optimizing (color correcting and cropping) the images also.
That's OK, I got it figured out. The programs I had could not do this so I downloaded a 30 day free trial of Corel Photo Shop and then it was easy. The program can also do some pretty nifty things with images so I might buy it. $69.
Sorry, I didn't get notified that of a new posting. I would've told you to use Photoshop. You can get a cheap version called Photoshop "Elements" that has everything you'll need as far as tools and capabilities.
Hi Mike,
I just became aware of your posting. I wish you had called or emailed us at the time and we could have helped you with your image preperations. I hope you will apply to us next year!

I've done Zapp before and the way you get around the sizing is to create a black or white block that is the exact size, then you overlay your image onto that block. It will then have either a white or black border where the "canvas" is larger than the art, but that's okay. Also, a light gray "stroke" makes your artwork stand out from the background.
