Hi all,

I know that the tent discussion has been had ad nauseam, an I hate to add to that. But I'm interested in knowing if the Propanel Light Bars play nice with the supporting structure of the EZ-up Style Tents.

I did see someone who had a cheaper style tent that didn't have the support bars running across the bottom that may get in the way of the lighting but I forgot the brand and have been driving myself crazy trying to find it online. If anyone knows of this brand that would be a big help, too!

Looking to apply to my first show and trying to get everything nailed down so that I can order it all and get a booth photo. Thank you for your suggestions!

  • I have 2 sets of light bars that I use with Knock Down panels and an EZ up tent that I've used for several years now and they work great!  The lights make a big difference for me, even on really sunny days.  Sometimes I just have to extend the position a little and move the lights to avoid shadow, but love the set up!  You can see how I weave them around the supports in the attached picture.  Good luck!531714198?profile=original

    • That's a huge help. Thank you Craig!

  • If you have even a little imagination then you can get just about anything rigged up to the insides of ez up tents. The question really becomes, how much do you want to mess with it during the setup?

At the very least, for your first show if you aren't sure then bring a lot of those plastic zip ties. You can basically hang any kind of lighting with those. It's just not super convenient long term.

Sorry I can't address your exact question, but an important lesson youll learn is to improvise. Eventually, you're going to forget something you thought was critical :)

    • Thank you Bobby. I'm certain I'll be encountering situations which require improvising. Luckily I have a long history of careers that require thinking on my toes.

Almost anything can be fixed/rigged with zip ties or duct tape. Haha.
