I'm sitting here at a festival trying to determine who's interested and who's not. I seem to remember a post on here awhile ago where the person said that you could tell who was really interested by the way their feet were pointed... Anyone remember that?

The legend is - if they have really nice shoes they have money! - Then we get a few we call Leaners - they act like there afraid to walk in to our exhibit and lean into our space about 30 degrees to have a look - then we have some that stay for 2 hours once they come inside - LOL

Another thing we learned long ago is they accumulated that money by not spending it. Give me middle class people all day long.
I'll try add more data to this study next weekend. If nothing else, it passes the time... and you can make a game out of trying to charm people's feet into changing direction!
A vendor friend once told me that if the customer's feet stay pointed in the direction they are walking, they usually keep moving. If they turn to face your booth/product, they are really interested. I started watching for this and in general it's true.
Ha,ha...these are all wonderfully humorous and interesting. Hasn't there been a discussion about shoes too? Like how you can tell if they can afford to purchase something based on the quality of their shoes? Maybe the direction their feet are pointed plus their shoe choice is a firm indicator of whether or not they'll be buying from you...something to think about anyway.
I've got so many fancy shoes, it ain't funny. All came from the Goodwill and other thrift stores. I've got some fine Cole Haan and Salvatore Ferragamo, and they ain't knock offs.
Now that I think about it, maybe I should wear these shoes with my Italian suits at the shows instead of what I do wear. I'm high end fine art, so why not look the part a little more than I already do?

Suits...? I remember seeing a picture of a suit. Ain't that what politicians wear?

I would have to think if they were pointing up it wouldn't be a good thing...
Ha,ha...makes me think of the Wicked Witch under Dorothy's house with her striped stockings and the toes of her shoes curled up...
