It looks like Payapal has gotten into the smart phone "square" merchant business. I was just on their site. I don't know much about it, but it looks like they're only charging 2.7%. It also looks like somehow they can scan in checks that you might take. I tried to watch the video, and it didn't come up. They've been working on our power poles, so my service here has been intermittent. Maybe someone out there knows more than me.

It sounds like it works like the Square except it says your money is "immediately" available from cc charges. The only drawback I see is the same one I have with the Intuit reader. The card reader won't fit over my protective case for my iphone. And since you are passing it back and forth I'd be afraid of it hitting the ground. :0
It isn't available yet, but I signed up for it just to check it out.So far I have been very happy with Square.
