  • There is a a "piggy back" ride (the person that told me about it's wording) show going on right beside it this year. The person that told me didn't get in, so he's going to be doing that show instead. I don't really know how or if that effects the artists in Paseo.

I have been to the Paseo festival (as a customer, not as an artist) for several years because I live in the area. The atmosphere is much more laid back than the okc festival of the arts...dogs are allowed, there's usually kids in dreads playing music on the corners. Oh..and the way it is laid out forces people to have to go down one street, then go back to go down the other street, and there's a section of people on a grassy area that might get skipped by some. artists and the people that go to the show are mostly fairly young so there isn't as much traditional art. I will say the jewelry booths do seem to usually look pretty busy.

    • What is the name of the piggy back show?
      Thanks!

    • Thanks for the imput Morian,  My husband got in the Paseo with his paintings.  I heard there was another show as well.  His paintings are kind of edgy and generally appeal to a younger crowd so that could be good if they have some moolah.  We shall see.  Stop by and say Hi.
      • I would, but I will be going to an different art festival that weekend (my first--I didn't get in to Paseo) I hate that I will miss it, I love going every year. The whole Paseo area has a nice artsy vibe going. Best of luck to your husband!
        • Thanks,  Good luck at your show!!
