Open Juries

In a follow up thread to "here's a welcome trend", I spoke to Liz Rundorff yesterday about the Artisphere open jury November 13th. Besides the artists who had applied to the show, artists that haven't applied can still attend if they contact the show. They do have limited space which is why they didn't send out notice to the state arts organization which would have reached thousands of artists. If you live in the area you really should make an effort to see one of these open juries.

    I got an email late last week that Des Moines will be streaming their open jury session online for those who can't make the trip. I haven't gotten the follow-up email with the link yet, but it's quite a nice touch.

      Both Des Moines and Fort Myers do a video feed of their juries Problem is that the video quality makes it difficult to see detail in the individual artwork images.

        I tried to watch the Fort Myers video, but you couldn't make out the images. Hopefully they are able to fix this next year.
