Hello Everyone,

My name is Shawn, I am an outdoor photographer spending most of my time on Lake Superior's north shore. I have spent the last 6 years working on my skills and building a portfolio and am now jumping into 2-3 art festivals this summer to get my feet wet.
This forum has a ton of good info and I look forward to interacting.

    Hello Shawn,
    Welcome to the AFI site!! This is my second year here and I wouldn't have survived the first without all the wonderful vets and their insightful ways for surviving the shows, weather, crowds, etc! Have fun, join in the forums and we look forward to your input!

    Welcome, Shawn. I'm so pleased you have found the site helpful. There are lots of new people to the business here as well as many with a great depth of information about the art fair business. There is a lot to learn and this is a great place to learn it, as well as make friends that you may meet some day down the road. Best wishes.

    Hello Shawn and welcome.  I love that profile pic of yours.  That's great.  We are glad you have joined us.  Are there any shows up there in the U.P.?  I see lots down here in the lower peninsula but haven't noticed any up there.  Are you going to try any that are out of the U.P.?  We have all levels of experience here and the veterans are more than happy to pass on their advice.  Where is your first show?

      Hi Jacki,

      I live in Northern Minnesota and will be doing a few festivals in this area. I haven't been out to Michigan yet. Park Point Art Festival is one of the biggest festivals in North MN.
