I'm new to Art Fair Insiders. I just wanted to pop in and say "hello!"
I'm a fiber artists who primarily works with traditional feltmaking techniques (wet felting, needle felting, and nuno felting). Although, I have been branching out into making my own fiber kits and hand dyed silks and wool. I've been selling online several years now with good success thus far. I have also done consignment and wholesale on occasion. I've been part of some local arts/crafts shows as well as a few juried national shows. My husband and I would like to start doing more shows soon and work into doing them full-time. We'd also like our own studio/shop to sell fiber art and supplies and teach classes. That is our long-term goal once our baby daughter gets to be school age.
I'm happy to have found this group with so much wonderful information on doing shows :) I look forward to learning from this group and what its members have to offer.
Thanks,
Shalana

You'll find a wealth of information here, and a lot of truly interesting, generous and kind people who are willing to share their experiences.
I'm an artist and a show director, so my perspective is a bit different than some of the people here. I make one-of-a-kind jewelry and I do digital collage.
Welcome!
Barbara

You should give felting a try. It is quite fun (and addictive) once you get started.
