Hi everyone, I'm a photographer from metro Detroit that uses Painter and Photoshop to create and enhance my art, now starting my 4th year in art fairs. The most anticipated show in my 1st serious year of exhibiting opened the day after the 2008 market crash. Being at the epicenter of America's financial crisis is not recommended as the best way to start a new career. Today's economic news is looking better. Here's to a profitable year in 2010.
I'm finding this site offers much both in support and information. I'm happy to have found you.

I quit my job and started in art fairs in the early '80's -- also not a good time, inflation rampant and unemployment high. But if you have talent, a propensity for working hard and enjoy the roller coaster living it makes for an interesting life style.
FYI -- there was an article in today's Free Press about the rebounding of the Michigan retail economy. I'm hoping this means better sales for artists this year.
