I.m an intaglio printer for about 15 years, but only been doing outdoor shows for 6. I have had quiet the learning curve, but its been fun. Kept to my home state of FL for the most part but plan on hitting the road in an camper this Jan. 2011. The promise land is out there, i just know it! Truly I love doing outdoor shows, despite set-up, rain, wind, and the occasional tornado through your tent, you can always look forward to the organized and calm process of packing up. Despite all that can and usally does go wrong at any given show I always look forward with anticipation to the next. So excited about bumming around the country from show to show. I was working at Lowes as a cashier standing in mind numbing boardam for 8 hours a day, dreaming of creating my work and traveling to sell it full time. I've done a few shows to know that its not all peaches and cream, but well worth the effort with every small or better yet succseful show.

Welcome Roberta. We are glad to have you here with us. How many shows do you do a year? Do you now do shows outside of Florida? There certainly are a lot of shows down there in the winter that could keep you busy every week. Good luck with your 2011 show schedule.
Welcome Roberta,
Your work is wonderful. I know that you will love it here at Art Fair Insiders. So many wonderful artists and information - and a few laughs. I live in PA and create beadwoven jewelry and forged and fabricated metal jewelry. I especially like to work with mixed metals. So far, I have kept close to home but I think this year I would like to venture out a little. I am looking at East Coast shows as well as Michigan. Have a great holiday season.
