New to Fairs and this Site

Hi members, just joined this site, an intro seems appropriate. I have painted for some time, landscape in oil mostly, hope to buy a tent and with luck participate in shows. I've enjoyed reading the various views and opinions regarding aspects of the show circuit life, I've learned much already. Any advice much appreciated,  Dave

    Hi Dave and welcome to AFI! :)    Browse around the site, there really is a wealth of information to be read.  Use the search bar if you want to look for something in particular and if you can't find it, do ask!

    Hi Dave. Are you planning on joining us in 2012 out on the road and on the beach and on the main street and the fairgrounds and at the mall and expo centers, etc. Where do you live and what do you think your first ventures might be?

      Connie, thanks for your reply.  I'm reading to see how others have done and finding helpful things here re booth set-up, show requirements, best shows, cautions, etc. I am in info gathering mode just now, need a good tent. Yes, I am planning on joining the fray soon. Any and all advice/recommendations welcome!

      We have a small but decent juried show here in town, Boiling Springs, Pa " Foundry Day ". Most of the vendors look miserable!. Thanks, Dave
