New Square update now allows off line mode (store and forward )

This is what I have been wanting since I first started using Square in 2010. Thia past week I have been researching mobile hot spots to carry with me to shows. I have one show (Westmoreland Arts and Festival, PA) where I have the hardest time getting a cell signal so I figured a mobile hot spot would solve the problem. Now I do not have to worry about it...

    I used the offline mode last weekend at the Jazz Fest in Nawlins, La. On Sunday there were over 100,000 people there and the cell towers must have overloaded because getting a signal was difficult at times. I had sales that used offline mode and then were processed later when I finally got a signal....Thank you Square....!!! It was much better and definitely faster than having to break out the knucklebuster

    The part about the transaction limit bothered me since most of my transactions are over $100.  Apparently you can change it but it seems you have to be in offline mode to do so.  I couldn't find any way to change it (or even see it) when I enabled offline mode earlier today.  this is a welcome addition to Square.

      It works just like changing the sales tax. Tap the box and you can enter ther amount. $100.00 per transaction is just the default setting.
