I have signed up for my first art show ever, which takes place in June. I am a photographer and I am looking for 16 x 20 mat kits that fit an 8 x 10 photo. I can't find these anywhere! Anybody have any suggestions other than having them custom made?

Hi Julie, Redimat.com and clearbags.com definitely have these. You'll need to get double-sided and single-sided tapes made for hinge mounting, too. There are instructions on how to hinge-mount on the redimat site, should you need them.
If you have until June, you might want to consider getting a Logan matte cutter, and just buying your 16 x 20 blanks and cutting the opening yourself. This is what I do for my prints because they are unusal sizes, and this allows me to fit standard frame sizes. The Logan cutter is really easy to use - it is kind of large though, and I have to dis-assemble it slightly to store it.
Thank you for your quick response Bobby! I will check them out. And thank you for the compliment on my photos. I have always struggled with how to price my work. Will consider your advice.

hi julie,
i use archivalmethods.com in rochester ny. you will save a lot of money if you purchase a mat cutter and learn to cut your own boards.
saw your website, nice work! (consider raising your print prices-they are worth much more!)

16x20 with an 8x10 (actually 7.5x9.5) opening is not a standard size. I suggest calling Dixie Matting. Everything they sell is cut by hand so all sizes could be considered standard. http://dixiematting.com
