We are doing our first big festival in September. We have a limited budget. We do have a nice 10 x 10 tent that came with sidewalls. We have two banquet tables that will have burlap custom fitted and skirted coverings. A jute rug for center. (Someone told us it was important to have a rug??) Besides selling framed art we also sell notecards that will be on display and matted prints that are unframed and a few small custom art pieces.
We recently made a really huge easel out of a pallet that we were planning to display matted prints on. (We post picture once it is set up.) We stained it and we think it will look nice with the burlap table coverings. We could probably get at least 12 - 11 x 14" matted prints on it. We thought this would show better than people constantly handling them in a box. We will keep extras hidden out of the way.
As for the art - it may be possible that we could purchase one panel. (Suggestions for good price?) Is black the best color?
If you have suggestions for displaying framed art without a panel, we would love to hear them. We could have one wall of just frames.
The art is all wildlife related, marine life, landscapes, etc. Hence the natural use of burlap and stained pallet easel. We thought it would go nicely together.

Yes -we will have to put standard easels in the corners of the tent. Luckily the way the huge pallet is constructed there are no legs. The back is constructed and resembles that back of a picture frame that rests on a table.
No one has any creative display ideas? : (
We are making our weights today with Roberts instructions. We will get to display projects in a few days--maybe someone will have some suggestions by then.
