As you might imagine I get personal emails from members or even non-members about AFI and I have to admit, moderating this site is much more work than I had anticipated when my son Scott suggested building this site. He said, "it will only be a few minutes a day for you to check in." Not quite true. I've had sympathy from some people, sort of along the line of "herding cats". Not so. This is not the most challenging task I've had, that would have to be hands down teaching 8th grade English in Detroit. I still get stomachaches thinking about that those days.
To do a decent job on this site I have the help of several people, Larry Berman, Jacki Bilsborrow and Sabrina Aughenpaugh as well as Scott Fox, plus I read some online blogs about communities. Those of you interested in learning how these things work may find this thread interesting, about Craig Newmark who is the brains behind Craigslist: Sitting Next to Craig Newmark While waiting for a Delayed Flight.
