Mike Stipek and Jim Parker. I just wanted to thank both these guys for sharing their experiences and willingness to answer questions continuously. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Larry, that's nice of you to say. But I learned everything I know about art fairs from you and artshowphoto.com! Well, almost everything. <wink wink>
Maybe so, maybe not! I bet his duckie and teddy bear pix are far better than yours! Learn from the master, little cricket, if you want to do the big time!
Hey, Larry, include yourself in this group. Fortunately we aren't alone with the advice/info/suggestions/freebies; there are a lot of fine artists on AFI who are willing to share. I learn something every time I log in.
A couple of things I avoid: I won't tell someone how to price their work, design their booth (Larry, that's your area of expertise), or anything else that's so subjective. In regard to that, I would say, check out art shows and see what people in your media are doing, especially in regard to pricing and displaying.
And - please - when asking for advice or info, state your media and state your state! It really helps to know what you do and where you're from. I know quite a bit about Western shows, but I'm not going to be able to give good info on, say mid-Atlantic or NE shows.
And I definitely won't tell you which shows you should do and how much you'll make at them, since I won't know your price points, your level of experience, your willingness to travel or not travel, and so on. But I will be glad to tell you which shows to avoid, given your media, since I'm better at helping you avoid a potentially expensive mistake.
