Louisville Hotels for the St. James Show

Hello, can anyone give me information about hotels in Louisville, close to the St. James Art Show (4th Street)?

Clean

Low Cost, but good area and nice accommodation

Handicap Access

And, any other suggestions about the St. James Show?

    You can usually get a decent price on the hotels near the airport, and still be within fifteen minutes of the show. Be careful not to book too close to the university during a football weekend, though, as traffic can be horrendous. 

    The Quality Inn on Gauthier is very close to the show, about six blocks, but not really walking distance, and is not that great for the price. Have stayed there in the past. For $89 you usually get a suite with a jacuzzi bath.

      Thank you for your advice. I know about football weekends. We live in Notre Dame area and for 50 miles around the University . . .  traffic is CRAZY on home game weekends!

    Hi Lois,

    I've arranged an artist rate at the Sleep Inn on Preston hwy of 59.00 a night. I've stayed there three years, it's close to show site (3 miles away) clean, safe, free parking. If interested ask for the artist rate. the phone # is 502-368-9597

      Is the hotel that you got an artist rate near the university?  Is there a problem with the traffic?

        Hi Laurie, closer to airport not university so traffic is not a problem.
