Looking at Art: The Bigger Picture

We all stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and hopefully we are building a solid legacy for those who come after us. So it is always the best of news for the arts when the our most prestigious museums come together to put our nation's treasures in very public spaces, beginning with Times Square in NYC

Thank you Art Everywhere

Look at this amazing list of partners: http://arteverywhereus.org/Partners, both museums and advertising firms. This is what we need to replicate for our art fairs.

Okay, I just spent a bunch of time looking at the Art Map -- is any of this going to be displayed near you? Who can explain this to me, the map and locations, I mean?

  • This program continues to expand. For those looking for more information on how art influences advertising and gets that message across that we need Art Everywhere, please read this: http://www.psmag.com/navigation/business-economics/consumers-market...

  • Well, I might be a little biased here since I've volunteered there for 18 years now but just look at the DIA's inside out campaign... http://www.dia.org/calendar/event.aspx?id=4456

    • I'm with you, Scott. The DIA has been an important institution in our country long before anyone ever heard of LACMA and some of those other sponsors. Thanks for that link.

Still, isn't it cool to think that "art will be everywhere?" Maybe people will notice it and talk about it. A very good thing.
