Do you call it mixed media or is it still photography?

I'm trying out some new pieces right now, and looking at shifting directions. It's doing photography, but more in an emotive vein, and incorporating my own poetry and text. There's a similar form out there called Haiga that is a combination of haiku

Mixed media vs. Painting?

Would you consider a painting that uses two mediums, ie: acrylic and watercolor to be mixed media 2d or painting? I'm grateful for the helpful people here and thanks for your responses.
