Has anyone done any of the Lincoln Center art fairs? The entry fee is what I expect for NYC, but they take 6% of your profits. I'd appreciate any information you may offer about this show. Thanks

I'd like to know how good they are now. I used to do these a long time ago and I still get an invite every year even though I haven't done them since ... I'm not telling. Let's just say I remember when we had to take down our booths every night and set them up again in the morning. LOL!!!
I use to attend the Lincoln Center Art Fair years ago. What a fabulous show it was then and I gather still is. It was the show to return to year in and year out. Great ARt, great crowds and NYC!
I was just looking through the discussion board, which I don't get a chance to do very often. I was sorry to see that no one answered your question from nearly a year ago!
Rona and I have been doing Lincoln Center for many years (at least 10). At first, even though the economy was better then, our shows were average or even below average. However, we felt it was worthwhile to cultivate the audience, and that has proven to be true. We almost always do quite well at the show. It is expensive, but definitely worth it. And many of the artists at the show return year after year (which I figure is a testimony in itself).
It's a pretty upscale crowd, and always includes both New Yorkers and tourists. Often the tourists are there to see a performance at Lincoln Center and are in the mood to spend. The atmosphere is great; most people are happy because they are going to see a show, have just come from a show, or are attending their favorite craft fair.
If you do decide to do these shows, try to have someone come with you to help. It's a rigorous load-in and load-out. But you do get the hang of it after doing it once or twice.
