Life Happened. I was looking forward to doing a few art shows in May. After months of preparation, life happened. While coming back from picking up an eight week old puppy to be Xena's baby brother "Elvis," my wife Mary broke her ankle and will be laid up for six weeks, forcing me to start canceling the shows I had signed up for. Which is why I'm posting this on a weekend.

    Well, it's official. My wife needs to have her ankle operated on tomorrow. I'm sending this message from the hospital parking lot where she's getting blood work done.

    I just cancelled my third show.

      Larry, so sorry to hear the news. Unfortunate that you are having to cancel shows, but you certainly have your priorities straight.

      Best wishes for a speedy recovery and that your wife will be up and running in no time.

    So sorry to read your news. It must be a great disappointment. The puppy will more than likely provide the distraction you need though. Feel better Mary and Larry.

    Are you sure it isn't the new puppy keeping you home? He's incredibly cute.

    He will be great fun to Mary while she heals.

    She has my best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. It's good, too, that you are able to be so philosophical about it.
