This will be my first time exhibiting at this show, any pointers would be appreciated. Layout seems to be a rows of tents, down one stretch, outside the museum. They are offering 20 booths to artists inside, and pushing them, only 2 avail., first come first serve. Outside might have much better traffic, from what I've seen at other shows, people dont go inside. Anyone done this show with comments, thanks..Mark

  • Mark - When looking for info about Art Shows always do a search in the archives - you'll find GREAT info. Nels posted a review about the 2009 Lakefront Festival. He shares wonderful photos and great insight. Here's a link NELS REPORT

Hope you have a great 2010
  • I don't quite understand your post about what spaces are available and how many to choose from.

I will say that Lakefront is in the top ten shows in the country and very desirable to get into. It falls between Old Town and Cherry Creek which would make a killer three show run. They've been using Clear Tents, wide enough for booths to face each other and artists to unload in front of their space for a few years now. I did it once when they had the old tents so I don't know if it effects sales. But I did Laumeier once and chose to be outside in my own canopy. It rained that weekend and everyone went inside the tents..

If you're lucky you'll get a post from someone who's done the show recently.

At this show, people go inside. That is the charm of it. It is a large tent. Artists line the tent up one side and down the other. Lovely large isles. Patrons love to visit each artist. I have visited this show many times and don't even remember any outside booths.
