Basically, Kalamazoo has an Art Walk once a month. Traditionally (like forever!) an artist couldn't set up at Bronson Park until Saturday morning. For some unknown reason last year the KIA folks suddenly decided that a Friday night set up would be okay -- and then why couldn't there also be open booths, totally optional. To my mind, a win-win for artists -- convenient early set up instead of the Saturday morning madness and bringing the "art walkers" also to the park.
To your concern, Lin, I guess the answer is 'drive carefully.'
I was wondering about that. With lots of people still setting up, isn't that a deterrent to shoppers? I know the Mall one has always been open Friday night. So enough people do walk over, to make it worthwhile?

KIA started Friday night sales last year. Was an easy set-up Friday afternoon and there were plenty of shoppers that night. I had good sales that eve and be backs on Saturday that scoped out the show Friday night. Kevin

Best wishes, Sandy. You might search for Nels' report from last year for more details and maybe he'll be there too. But I'm sure there will be a fair number of people from AFI in the show.

I'll be there, hope it will be as good a show as last year.
