I wanted to share (newbie to this group that I am) that I just received my acceptance email for Art Beat in South Bend, IN on 8/25/2012. I'll be on Michigan Street on the West side in the same block as the Chocolate Factory (a wonder cafe and shop to be sure). Stop by and see me if you are in town.
Is anyone else here going to Art Beat?

I've done Art Beat for several years and always enjoy it. You get a huge crowd of people there who don't usually attend art fairs or go to galleries. But they are interested and amazed to find that they like art and even buy some! Lots of families come out, and I enjoy talking to the kids about their art. I don't bring big expensive stuff, or maybe just one or 2 pieces, and can usually count on making enough sales of smaller pieces to make it worth while, especially since the fee is so low and I only live a few miles away.

No, I won't be there for 2 reasons. First, I don't have the stamina to do such a long show since I have no help, therefore...second, I went to Cape Cod instead where I do several small shows and visit with family. It's cooler here, too.
