Beginner question: what happens when the jury is finished? Do they notify everyone of their results, or only the people who were accepted/waitlisted? I ask because I applied to the San Diego show, which says their artist notification will be 3/25 - but have heard nothing. Does that mean I didn't get in, or does it mean they didn't meet their deadline?

It means that like most well meaning shows, they are running late in their notifications. It happens with too much frequency. Maybe shows underestimate the amount of time they need to jury and then choose the show. Maybe other factors contribute. Just accumulating the scores doesn't mean they are ready to notify artists. The scores have to be analyzed and other factors built in, like previous years award winners. The show has to balance to fit the director's vision so more time is required.
Just sending out the acceptances or rejections (or waiting list) without notifying the rest of the show is mentally unfair. It's much better to do it at the same time.
The problem is that some artists balance the notification date with jury deadlines for other shows they may want to apply to. And some shows think they are the only show out there and are careless with their published notification dates not considering that artists do this for a living and seek to keep as many weekends full as possible.
Bottom line it's common for shows to be late in their notifications, nothing to worry about.
