I am very new to the art festival scene. In fact, I have only applied to one show (The Woodlands Waterway Festival in Houston) but was not accepted. Since I applied to that show, I have received several fliers/postcards in the mail from other festivals around the country inviting me to apply to their festivals.
I'm sure these festivals purchased a mailing list from Zapplication, but my question is: does the fact that they sent me something in the mail indicate that I have a good chance of being accepted? In other words, do they send these invitations to everyone who applies to certain festivals or just the ones that received a certain score or above?

Good question, Brad. I'd say the mailings only indicate that they found you on the Zapp list and sent you the applications. They don't indicate anything beyond that. One of the closest held secrets an art fair has is often their jury scores, so I don't think your scores were shared with anyone. Sorry not to be more encouraging.

If you have used Zapp, on the profile page are options for receiving post cards, e-mails from participating shows. You will or won't get the info depending on what you have selected.
