Introduction

Hi - I'm new to this board and Art Fairs and my medium is wire jewelry. 

Last Fall, I participated in a few very small community "craft" fairs which helped me learn what people liked, how to set up my booth, things I needed and never thought of, etc...  Now I would like to participate in "art" fairs.  I have many questions, but will post them separately.  Thanks for sharing your expertise with me.

    Hello Terri and welcome.  Glad you decided to join us here.  I think you will find everything you need to know here.  We have all levels of artists here.  Have you applied to any shows yet?  This is a very friendly and helpful group.  You should find all the help you need to get yourself going.

      Hi Jacki and thank you for the welcome! :)  I did a few small shows last Fall.  Some said they were juried, but I would be surprised to hear they refused anyone entry.  This year I'm trying to get into a higher level of show, which is why I joined this group: to learn from the experiences of others.

    Welcome, Terri. We are glad you are here. This site should be very helpful to you. A tip to getting information would be to click on "forum" and enter your topic in the search box to see what comes up. You can also to this by clicking on "blogs" and entering your topic in that search box. Almost all topics have been covered, hit the archives and do some browsing. We are here to help each other and look forward to hearing about your experiences at the shows.

        Show was okay, got a custom order, made some sales and got to reconnect with some local fellow jewelers and crafters. A little socializing, a little fun, a little idea sharing and info gathering!! All in all it was good. However, my dog was upset when I left, and very excited when I returned!! Got used to me being home every weekend!

    Hello Terri and Welcome!!

    I also do Jewelry, Wire and beaded! I did a lot of research right here in the discussion boards when seeking answers..and everyone here will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Hope you have a successful season! My first show this year is tomorrow, and inside as we still have two feet of snow here in Maine!
