Hello all. I am a wood carver / craftsman from northern IL. I currently own a small studio offering hand carved signs and woodworking services (Lazy River Studio), but I'm seeking to make a transition to fine arts - www.carvedbyscott.com . I plan to give art fairs a shot in 2018, and working feverishly to complete my booth for the Artisphere application deadline. I have been listening to Connie / her podcast and almost completed all the episodes. And I have been learning a lot on this site. Thanks for all the great advice and tips!
Here are a couple images of my hand carved wood florals. I have no clue how I'll be received at art fairs. But I plan to give this my 100% effort. I plan to attend 5 different shows in 2018 and see if this will be in my future.
Thanks!
Scott

Thanks Christina! Really appreciate it :)
love the formality of the piece juxtaposed with the rough base. Good eye and very professional looking. See your only problem at shows is packing them safely. JoAnn
Thanks JoAnn!
I've thought long and hard about transit. I came up with a solution that seems to work out great. I have even been able to ship these displays by UPS, and no problems thus far... knock on wood. :)
Beautiful work. Are the florals made from wood as well?
Thanks Cindy! Yes, all the flowers and components are handmade from maple and basswood. :)
Love the look.
